Proper feeding is required for growth and maintenance, but it doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, pigs can do just fine on a diet of pasture and kitchen scraps alone, without the need for further supplementation, provided they have ample amounts of each. When fed on a proper diet, pigs will grow faster, maintain their weight better, have better lactation, and reproduce more successfully.
