So, what can you do with an Instant Pot?
We have a very small house, and I really appreciate having one appliance with so many options!
The Instant Pot claims to replace ten common kitchen appliances! You can use it as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice/porridge cooker, yogurt maker, cake maker, egg cooker, saute/searing, steamer, warmer, or a sterilizer.
It also comes with 16 built-in smart programs: Soup/Broth, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chili, Cake, Egg, Slow Cook, Saute/Searing, Rice, Multigrain, Porridge, Steam, Sterilize, Yogurt, Warm, Pressure Cook, and Ultra.
I have had my Instant Pot for over a month now, and I have to admit, I’ve used it several times a week since I got it! We have made the usual slow cooker meals in it, like chili, soups, stews and such. I’ve used it to cook rice and I’ve also used the cake maker setting to make the most delicious, moist chocolate cake! My favorite thing to do with it so far is to pressure cook meat. I’ve even thrown frozen meat in it and the results are lightning-fast and delicious every time!
So, if you have been on the fence about purchasing your own Instant Pot, I highly recommend you take the leap! You won’t regret it!
This recipe would work great in the Instant Pot and you can have it ready to eat in a fraction of the time it takes in the crockpot: Hearty Crock Pot Beef Stew with Root Vegetables.
